10-year tradition pays off for Cowes trio

Three Cowes mates are looking forward to the holiday of a lifetime after their private syndicate won more than $1 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

“I’m walking with a bit of a spring in my step this morning!” one of the winning men declared.

“It’s a syndicate ticket with two of my good mates. We’ve been playing the same ticket for more than 10 years!

“It’s come at an amazing time because the three of us have a holiday booked soon. We’ll be having an even better time now!”

Clean up in aisle one! Wodonga man bags million-dollar prize

From travel to living debt free. A Wodonga man bagged more than milk and bread when he popped into a local supermarket and left a millionaire thanks to the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

“I just bloody checked it! What the f***?!” the man exclaimed.

“That’s brilliant. I’m just in the supermarket walking up and down the aisles.

“I’m so happy. For the first time in my life, I’m going to be debt-free. I’m going to buy myself a home and be debt-free.

“This is a call I never thought I’d hear in my lifetime!”

From platform to payday

And in the sunshine state, a Caboolture woman is looking forward to retirement after her train journey took a fortunate turn, leading her to a $100,000 winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

“Thank you! I feel guilty because I’ve been so calm,” she laughed.

“I bought the ticket the other day while on the way to an event.

“We had to catch some trains, and I said if we have time on the way, we can pop into the newsagency.”

When asked how she planned to use her newfound treasure, the gleeful woman shared she planned to spend it wisely.

“I don’t want to rush into anything,” she said.

“I’m sort of easing into retirement at the moment, so it’ll just be here as a nice safety net.”
