With the dust still settling on this year’s successful Finke Desert Race, we’re proud to confirm we will continue our commitment through Tatts as the event’s naming rights sponsor in 2020.

Over the past two decades, the Lott by Tatts has seen the Finke Desert Race evolve from a local community event to a world-class event that embodies the spirit of Alice Springs and offers the most unique desert race to drivers and riders from all over Australia.

In 2000, Tatts’ first year as naming rights sponsor and Finke’s 25th year, there were 305 bike and 105 car competitors, 200 volunteers and approximately 8,000 spectators. Accelerate to 2019, and the event has almost doubled in size and torque.

The Lott spokesperson Hans de Koning said the Lott by Tatts is proud to continue its support for such an iconic event for the 21st year.

“We are passionate about connecting with and supporting the communities that we operate in and we have loved being part of the Finke family,” he said.

“We’re proud to be continuing our partnership with the Finke Desert Race after 20 years as naming rights sponsor, making it our longest standing sports sponsorship.

“The event is simply incredible and it was fantastic be at the finish line of this year’s stellar event. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before and I think it’s something all Australians should enjoy at least once in their lifetime.”

Tatts Finke Desert Race President Antony Yoffa said the Lott by Tatts’ sponsorship significantly contributed to the event’s success.

“Without the support of Tatts, the Tatts Finke Desert Race wouldn’t be the success it is today,” she said.

“This twenty-one year corporate partnership has allowed us to grow the event that attracts both professional and amateur competitors; all the while run by volunteers. Finke is the biggest annual sporting event in Central Australia.”
