Elizabeth South man house-hunting after $1 million Saturday X Lotto win
As the saying goes, timing can be everything and that was truly the case for an Elizabeth South man this week. He was ecstatic to score a division one win worth over $1 million in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw, three days before his rental lease ended!
“The win couldn’t have come at a better time!” he exclaimed.
“We’ve got to move out of our house this week due to our lease ending and instead of looking for a new rental we’ll be able to go house shopping!”

Lane Cove woman delays collecting $102,000 prize because she was too shocked!
For some winners, it takes a little while for the news of an unexpected windfall to sink in. This week we were thrilled when a Lane Cove woman came forward to claim her Lucky Lotteries First Prize of more than $100,000 — almost three weeks after the draw took place!
“I was honestly gobsmacked for several days after I’d discovered I won, which is why I took a while to come forward,” she told us.
“I have never won anything! It was just amazing!”
She was overjoyed to have scored the prize just in time to help with some much-needed renovations to her home.
Marion woman jumping out of her skin after discovering $1 million Monday X Lotto win
Earlier this week we heard from a Marion woman who had a routine of taking some time out for herself to have a cup of tea and check her Lotto numbers in the paper. However, she was overwhelmed to discover that her Tuesday tea-time came with the news that she was now a millionaire!
“Oh, my goodness! You have no idea how I feel. I’m jumping out of my skin. I’m so excited!” she exclaimed.
“I’ll be in la-la land for a little while, so I’m not sure how I am going to spend it all.
“I’m still a bit overwhelmed. I do know that I am going to share it amongst my family, and there are three charities that I want to send some money to.”
Majors Creek winner’s colourful response to $200,000 win
There are times when you just need to let out a few choice words, and we’d say that winning a major lottery prize is one of them! A Majors Creek woman couldn’t stop swearing when she discovered she’d won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
“You’re joking! No, you must be joking! Holy sh*t! Sh*t!” she exclaimed when we called to break the news.
Turns out her surprise win arrived at the perfect time to perk up an otherwise ordinary day.
“I did not expect this. Gosh I’ve been feeling a bit tired today, but I am definitely going to have to do some celebrating now.”
Making time to make a difference
Supporting local communities across Australia is part of what we do here at the Lott. While we are passionate about making a difference to our partners through sponsorships and donations, we also love to dive in ourselves and lend a helping hand.
In the past 12 months, hundreds of team members from the Lott across four states have volunteered with different community organisations. From giving blood to volunteering in bushfire affected disaster areas— when there’s an opportunity to get involved and give back there’s no time like the present!
On top of the volunteering efforts of our team members, we also contributed over $1.4 billion through state lottery taxes, partnerships and donations in the last financial year, helping to bring even more winning moments to our local community. You can find out more about our community involvement here.
