A Port Augusta woman has declared she’s ready for more globetrotting adventures following this afternoon’s revelation she is $50,000 richer from winning Keno Spot 8 in a recent draw.

The ecstatic woman won the Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 2392728 on Monday 23 July 2018.

When a SA Lotteries official made contact with the winner this afternoon to confirm her win, she was oblivious to her good fortune.

“Oh wow! Wow! I can’t believe it,” she laughed upon learning of her win.

“I’m so glad I bought that ticket now.

“That’s just made my day! I won’t say no to $50,000!”

The thrilled winner shared she planned to use her Keno windfall to fund some new adventures.

“Who knows where to next!” she said.

“So far I’ve had the Spot 5, Spot 7 and Spot 9, and now the Spot 8!” she said.

“I never thought I was a lucky person. I suppose I’d have to say I am now!”

The regular Keno player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning Spot 8 entry at Orana Lotto & Newsagency, Shops C&D, Wharflands Plaza, 11 Tassie Street, Port Augusta.

Orana Lotto & Newsagency staff member Lisa Collins said the outlet was celebrating selling a Keno Spot 8 winning entry.

“We saw that we’d sold the winning ticket. It’s awesome,” she said.

“We hope the winner does something wonderful with their prize.”

Last financial year, there were 19 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who landed more than $4.52 million. Spot 10 was won twice during this time – a prize of more than $2.017 million in December 2017 and a prize of more than $1.474 million in April 2018.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
