Two weeks after the draw, a North Strathfield man has come forward as the mystery ticket holder who snared $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

The New South Wales resident scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10839, drawn Monday 4 March 2024.

The winning ticket was unregistered, meaning we had no way of contacting the winner to confirm the life-enhancing news and had to wait for him to come forward to claim his prize.

“I’m a lot better than yesterday!” he laughed.

“It’s funny. I purchased a ticket for a couple of bucks and the newsagency told me ‘You’ve won seven free tickets’.

“I forgot all about them until my adult son was telling me about his friend's big win on something else and it reminded me.

‘Then I checked my ticket online and I realised it had been drawn and I was holding the winning ticket!

“I went to the newsagency where I originally got the tickets, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I saw a sign up that said, ‘winning ticket sold here’ and it had the draw date and draw number and I thought ‘That’s me, that’s me!’.

“I was one hundred thousand dollars richer, and I didn’t even know it!

“What’s crazy too, is that my father won the lotto when he first moved to Australia in the ‘70s. He won division one, it was about $25,000, which at the time was massive!

“It’s incredible! I feel like there’s a lucky streak in the family.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot windfall, the generous winner declared he knew exactly how he would spend it.

“It’s going to help so much. Most importantly, it’s going to help my kids so much,” he said.

“I’ll be able to help them buy a house now.

“Thank you again. It’s surreal, it still hasn’t sunk in!”

His entry of seven consecutive numbers was from North Strathfield Newsagency, 189 Concord Road, North Strathfield.

The North Strathfield Newsagency team said they were delighted for their fortunate winner and wished him all the best with his prize.
