Powerball has soared to an incredible $80 million for next Thursday’s draw (draw 1301) after no entry had all the seven winning numbers and the all-important Powerball number needed to take home division one tonight.

Although the division one prize wasn’t snagged this evening, a total of 1,475,569 prizes worth more than $26.15 million were won in divisions two to nine.

This included 6 division two winners, who were just one number shy of a multi-million-dollar win, but each take home $120,658.25.

Next week’s $80 million Powerball draw (draw 1301) is the biggest Australian lottery jackpot to be offered so far in 2021 and the first time the game has hit this amount since July 2020.

A Dromana couple were the last Powerball players to snag an $80 million prize, and took four days to come forward and claim it!

If one player takes home next week’s entire jackpot, they will join 2020’s two $80 million Powerball winners and share the title as the third biggest individual lottery winner in Australian history.

They also won’t be far behind Australia’s biggest individual lottery winner, a Sydney healthcare worker who scored a $107 million Powerball prize in January 2019, and the second biggest winner, a Chatswood dad who scored a $96 million Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize in August 2019.

While we don’t know if we will be crowning another Powerball multi-millionaire next Thursday or watching the jackpot climb higher, what we do know is you need to have an entry for your chance to win.
