A single mum from Bondi can’t wait to spoil her little girl and set her up for a bright future ahead after taking home a wondrous $1.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The beachside resident held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4411, drawn Saturday 28 October 2023, and pocketed $1,311,960.34.

The New South Wales woman discovered her lottery loot late at night and was left tossing and turning in her sleep.

“Wow! That’s so amazing,” she cheered.

“I’m so excited. I can’t believe this has happened.

“It was quarter to ten on Saturday night and I decided to check my ticket. My daughter was sitting next to me, and my face immediately changed.

“The confetti came up on The Lott App and I yelled, ‘Oh my god! Is this real?’

“I couldn’t get to sleep, and I went to work the next day like nothing happened!

“This will really help me as a single mum – it’s so amazing.
“My daughter and I can go on an overseas holiday for Christmas and then I’ll be able to buy a home.

“I’ll keep the rest in the bank and put it towards my daughter’s education.

“Thank you so much.”

Her winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency & Internet Café, Shop 2, 191-195 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction.

Bondi Junction Newsagency & Internet Café owner Manish Sharma said he was completely shocked when he found out his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“It’s such an amazing moment! All I could think about was the winner’s life that had now changed forever because of one Saturday Lotto ticket. The feeling is unimaginable,” he shared.

“We will be letting all of our customers know that we had sold a division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto. The community loves hearing about our customers landing a win!

“We’ve sold a couple of first prize winning entries over the years, but it’s been a while since we’ve sold a division one winning entry, so it’s a very exciting moment for us.

“We would like to wish our winner all the best with their prize and send them a big congratulations. Thank you for supporting Bondi Junction Newsagency & Internet Café!”
