“My dad used to play these numbers,” the winner shared.

“They were lucky numbers for dad. Last week, I saw the Megadraw was coming up and I thought I’ll have to play dad’s numbers.

“It’s just awesome!

“The last day of 2023! It’s a great day to discover a big win.

“I don’t know what I’ll do with the prize just yet. I’ll need time to think but it’s going to be a great 2024!”

The man’s winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at Footscray Lotto, 151 Hopkins Street, Footscray.

Footscray Lotto owner Cynthia Lam said she thought she was dreaming when she first heard her outlet had sold a division one winning ticket.

“We are so pleased that someone won division one from our store. It's a nice reminder to buy local and support small businesses. You never know; one day, it could be you,” she said.

“The last time we sold a division one winning ticket was in 2019. Back then, that customer also won playing his favourite numbers.

“To our latest winner, I hope you enjoy this new year's luck! New year, new you! I hope it will make your life more relaxing and enjoyable.”
