Moonee Ponds man declares TattsLotto win ‘lifts weight off shoulders’

A Moonee Ponds man has confessed to feeling like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders after becoming over $450,000 richer from winning division one in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the happy man’s System 7 entry also won division three 6 times, division four 3 times and division 5 four times, bolstering his total prize to $452,584.93.

When speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm his win, the happy man declared his disbelief at the news.

“That’s awesome! I was at home yesterday morning when I checked my numbers on the app and couldn’t really believe it!” he said.

“Mate, I’m still a little bit unsure – I don’t know how to explain how I feel!

“It hasn’t sunk in quite yet. It’s a fairly significant amount of money!”

When asked how he planned to spend his TattsLotto windfall, the winner revealed it would go a long way into easing the burden of his mortgage.

“I’ve got a bit of a hefty mortgage so I’ll pay that off to start with!” he explained.

“It will be a bit of a relief to go into the bank one day and pay that all off. It sure will be a weight off my shoulders.

“Then who knows, we’ll have to wait and see. A holiday towards the end of the year would be nice.

“It’s hard to say as I’m still in a little bit of a shock. Until I actually have it in my hands I won’t believe it!”

The man who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his System-7 entry from Moonee Ponds Pharmacy & Lotto, 22 Pratt Street, Moonee Ponds.

Moonee Ponds Pharmacy & Lotto owner Quang Le, said he was thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.

“It’s been a while since we have sold a division one winning entry so we are very excited to have sold another one,” he said.

“We’ve been telling all of our customers that we’ve sold a big one and that we hope our luck continues ahead of the big jackpots this week.

“Congratulations to the winner, we wish them all the best with their prize!’
