The temperature is well and truly rising, which can mean only one thing — it’s almost Christmas!

It’s been a red-hot week here at The Lott with plenty of winning news. Here’s some of our favourite moments from the past week.

Saturday Lotto brings joy to 11 players

As far as Saturday nights go, last weekend’s was pretty great with 11 players across the country receiving a big boost to their bank accounts just in time for Christmas.

Each division one winner took home an incredible $549,405.38!

One of these winners was a Forster woman who answered our winning call on her lunch break.

“I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep working for the rest of the day” she admitted.

We don’t blame her after receiving such exciting news!

Salisbury man responds to news of Oz Lotto win with “Bloody hell!”

It seems we caught a South Australian resident completely off guard when we called him on Wednesday morning to break the news he was the only division one winner in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto draw.

“Bloody hell! Are you serious? Wow! That’s amazing! Thank you so much!” he exclaimed.

While he was completely shocked by his $2.4 million prize, the stoked bloke  knew he wanted to say goodbye to the home loan and hello to a holiday!

Powerball strikes in Victoria: one entry scores entire $20 million jackpot

The jackpot wins continued on Thursday night with one winning entry in Victoria taking out the $20 million Powerball jackpot.

This is the twelfth Powerball division one winning entry for 2020.

We’re eagerly waiting for our new multi-millionaire to come forward and confirm their prize!

Gladstone tradie over-the-moon with scratchie win

A Gladstone tradie is thanking beginner’s luck for his $25,000 Instant Scratch-Its top prize.

After getting “this feeling” he should buy a scratchie, the man went on to scratch all the winning symbols on the first ticket he ever bought!

“I went straight back into the shop to double check and sure enough, I’d won $25,000!” he recounted.

The thrilled Queenslander is  going to put his winnings straight towards a house deposit.

Starlight wishes set to shine with $250,000 donation

For the past 12 years, we’ve been committed to supporting the great work Starlight does for sick kids and their families. We were proud to continue that commitment this week; on Thursday we announced a $250,000 donation that will fund 38 Starlight Wishes.

A Starlight Wish is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a seriously ill child and their family. It gives them hope and an opportunity to forget about treatments and surgeries for a moment.

The donation from Golden Casket, part of The Lott, has been funded from unclaimed prize money.
