A Dapto duo were delighted to discover their Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries not only won division one once but twice, after the winning husband bought two identical entries into the same draw!
“I forgot to put my wife’s numbers on last week, and she wasn’t too happy with me. So, this week I thought I’d put them on twice to make up for it,” the winning husband told us.
“Lo and behold, this morning she kept crossing off number after number on her ticket, and once we realised we’d won $1 million on one ticket, I thought I should probably tell her about the second identical ticket too.
“My wife has played these numbers for almost three decades and has always said they’d be drawn one day.”
Dandenong revels in twin wins
The Victorian suburb of Dandenong has been on a winning streak this week with two locals bagging buoyant lottery bounties.
One of these winners was a Victorian woman who scored a $100,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
“This is the very first lottery ticket I’ve ever bought online. I feel like this is pure luck. Well, more so my husband’s luck – he’s my lucky charm! He’s the one that told me to purchase the ticket,” she said.
“I have a family member I’d really like to help, so it’ll go to good use.”
Meanwhile, a Dandenong man scratched himself a real treat this week when he revealed a $250,000 top prize on a $10 Instant Scratch-It’s ticket!
"I won $10 on a previous Instant Scratch-Its ticket and decided to use the winnings to buy a $10 Triple Match Instant Scratch-Its ticket,” the winning man said.
“Three days later, I took it back to Dandenong Plaza Lotto to check. They told me I’d won a top prize and told me to claim it at The Lott headquarters because it was so big.
“I wasn't truly sure I’d won $250,000 for three whole days!”
Family first for South Brisbane millionaire
A South Brisbane woman is doubling down on her mission to take care of her nearest and dearest after her super Saturday Lotto $1.8 million win!
“We have so many things going on in our family at the moment. This is going to make it so much easier for us all,” the winner said.
“It means I can do so much for so many people that I love. That’s what is so amazing about this win.
“It’s going to change so many lives. All the fun stuff can wait, first and foremost I’m going to take care of my family.”
