The search continues for the winner of last night’s entire $30 million Powerball jackpot prize, with Tatts officials narrowing the search to Hobart and its surrounding region.

Earlier this morning Tatts officials revealed the Tasmanian entry had won the entire division one prize pool of $30 million in Powerball draw 1166 on Thursday 20 September.

The entry, purchased at a Tatts outlet in the surrounding suburbs of Hobart, was not registered to a Tatts card so the identity of the ticketholder remains a mystery and they may have yet to discover they’re now $30 million richer.

Tatts spokesperson Bronnie Spencer is urging all residents or visitors from Hobart and the surrounding region who purchased an entry in last night’s Powerball draw to check their entry.

“We can’t wait to confirm the incredible news with our mystery winner and unite them with their prize!” she exclaimed.

“The mystery winner could be walking around with the winning entry in their back pocket and not even know it!

“That’s why we are encouraging all players to check their ticket either online, via the Lott app or in an official Tatts outlet to see if it could be them.

“If you discover your numbers are the winning ones make sure you hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”

Ms Spencer also reminded players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Tatts card.

“We encourage all of our players to register their entries to a players card,” she said.

“Not only does it ensure we can call you with the life-changing news but it also means the prize is secure and should anything happen to that all important ticket, the prize can still be paid.”
