The temperatures may be starting to drop, but things are just starting to heat up at The Lott.

From crowning Oz Lotto multi-millionaires and hearing from multiple Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners to announcing our support for the Tatts Finke Dessert Race and seeing Powerball jackpot, things have been on fire this week.

Here’s some of the highlights.

Hullabaloo in Humpty Doo
Ten players from the town of Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory became multi-millionaires on Tuesday night after their syndicate scored the $35 million Oz Lotto jackpot!

Each syndicate member receives a share worth $3,509,377.73.

One winner told us they were in complete shock, one recounted she almost didn’t buy her winning ticket, and another said he’d need a cup of tea to calm himself down.

We can only imagine that this week’s Oz Lotto draw will go down in Humpty Doo history as the time when the town suddenly became flush with multi-millionaires.

Mount Gravatt man wins Live the Life
A Brisbane man used his lottery divisional prize to buy an Instant Scratch-Its ticket, and ended up scratching the top prize on a $5 Live the Life ticket.

The Queensland winner will receive $1,000 a week paid over the next five years!

The Instant Scratch-Its player told us this win would make life a whole lot easier.

“It’s such nice security,” he shared.

Lots to celebrate for Geelong apprentice chef
A Geelong apprentice had two things to celebrate this week – qualifying as a chef and winning $25,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The Victorian was completely shocked to discover his prize.

“My partner was with me too and she couldn’t believe it. She was stunned!” he shared.

The newly qualified chef is going to put his top prize towards a house deposit, and a long-awaited trip to New Zealand.

The Lott fuels Finke Desert Race for two more years
The Lott by Tatts NT has committed to being the naming rights partner of the Tatts Finke Desert Race for another two years.

The Tatts Finke Desert Race is an iconic motorsport event with a reputation for being one of the world’s most difficult and most gruelling off-road courses in a remote location.

We can’t wait to be at the finish line of the Tatts Finke Desert Race in 2021, and we look forward to supporting the race for many years to come.

Powerball jackpots to $80 million for next week’s draw
Powerball has soared to an incredible $80 million for next Thursday’s draw (draw 1301) after no entry had all the seven winning numbers and the all-important Powerball number needed to take home division one this week.

Although there was no division one winner, a total of 1,475,569 prizes worth more than $26.15 million were won in divisions two to nine.

Next week’s $80 million Powerball draw (draw 1301) is the biggest Australian lottery jackpot to be offered so far in 2021 and the first time the game has hit this amount since July 2020.

Buy your entry instore, online or via The Lott app.
