A PowerHit entry is a special type of entry that guarantees you the all-important Powerball number, increasing your chances of winning the division one prize.
The PowerHit entry type is exclusive to Powerball- Australia's biggest jackpotting lottery game.
PowerHit entries start from $26.95.
A standard PowerHit entry will show your 7 selected numbers and a PH in place of where the Powerball number sits.
Your same 7 numbers are used across 20 games - one for every possible Powerball number.
You can play a PowerHit entry in-store, online or via The Lott app. Follow the steps or watch the video below to learn more.
Select the PowerHit toggle. You can then select the PowerHit type you would like to play.
You can then select your seven numbers or use the autofill option. Remember you do not need to select a Powerball number for a PowerHit entry as you are guaranteed the Powerball!
Ask your Retailer for a standard PowerHit as a QuickPick- where the numbers will be automatically generated for you. Or select your own numbers by marking the seven numbers on a coupon and selecting the PowerHit (PH) box.
Powerball is drawn every Thursday night and is broadcast at approximately 8:30pm AEST (9:30pm AEDT) on Channel 7 or 7TWO and affiliated regional stations (check your local TV guide).
Powerball winning numbers are usually available no later than 9:00pm (AEST) via The Lott website.
You can check your PowerHit ticket in the same way as a regular Powerball ticket online, in-store, or scan your ticket using The Lott app. See our Results Services page for more information on how to get your results.
A syndicate is a group entry where the players share the cost of the entry and any winnings.
PowerHit entries - including Standard, PowerHit Systems and PowerHit Pick are a popular entry type used in Powerball syndicates.
You can ask about PowerHit syndicates in-store or create your own PowerHit syndicate using the Syndimate tool.
Powerball jackpots from $4 Million each week until won. The jackpot has reached a massive $200 Million in the past!
A PowerHit entry increases your chance of winning the Division One prize.
Powerball has 9 prize divisions. To win Division One you need to match all 7 winning numbers plus the Powerball in a single game panel. However you can win a prize with as little as 2 winning numbers plus the Powerball number in a single game.
Many of the Powerball prize divisions require the Powerball number to win- for example winning Divison 8 requires 3 winning numbers plus the Powerball number or similarly to win Division 6 your would need to match 4 winning numbers plus the Powerball.
See the winning combinations below for all winning combinations and odds for each Powerball prize division (based on 1 standard game).
