A Baxter man has confessed he almost gave up on his special set of numbers last week but decided to give them one last try in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw where he won a  $2.5 million prize.

The Victorian held one of the four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4469 on Saturday 18 May 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $2.5 million.

“I only found out about 30 seconds ago!” the winning man exclaimed.

“I’m still reeling here, mate!

“It’s unbelievable! I just can’t believe it.

“I’ve been playing for a while. These were numbers I’ve been using for years.

“You wouldn’t believe it, but last week, I was going to knock it on the head. Fair dinkum, I was going to stop playing these numbers last week, but I thought I’d give them one last go.

“I’m shell-shocked.

“I’ll wake up at some point. I’m just going to sit here and take it all in.

“This just stops me from worrying about having to go back to work and enjoying my retirement. There’s also family members who are struggling and I’ll be able to help them.

“I was going to go shopping at Aldi today!  But maybe I can splash out and shop at other places as well!”

The man’s winning marked System 7 entry was purchased at Baxter Newsagency, Shop 6, 96 Baxter-Tooradin Road, Baxter.
