For some lucky customers, it can be life-changing. If you’re part of The Lott Members Club, you can rest assured we’ll let you know if you win. From an email for a small win, to a personal phone call if you win first prize. Now that’s a phone call we’d all love to receive.


For entries purchased online or through The Lott app

  

If you win a prize from a purchase made using your online lottery account:

  • We will deposit the prize money directly into the same account, usually the next day. 
  • You will also be notified by email about your entry winning a prize.

For Division 1 and Lucky Lotteries Jackpot or 1st Prizes:

  • The prize money will be deposited directly into your online lottery account after a two-week provisional period has elapsed. 
  • We'll also call you personally with the good news!

 

 


Keeping your prizes secure. Now that's a win!

When you're part of The Lott Members Club, your prizes are secure because they are registered to you and can be sent to you if you forget to claim your prize*.

When you purchase your tickets in retail outlets using your membership, we may pay your prize after 4 weeks in either of the following ways:

  • transfer into your nominated Australian bank account
  • transfer into your online account; or

Alternatively we may pay your prize after 8 weeks via:

  • cheque to your Australian postal address - a handling fee of $3.30 applies. Individual prizes less than $6 will be combined into a single prize cheque and issued once the accumulated value reaches $6.^
     

Note that there are limitations to the prize amount that can be paid out in-store


There are a number of ways to select or update your preferred method for receiving your retail prizes:

If you have a digital account with a linked Members Club card (previously known as Tatts Card): Simply login and visit the Prizes section under My Account and adjust your prize payment settings.

If you play in-store only: You can fill out a Change of Details form in-store to provide us with your bank details to have your prizes paid automatically into your bank account.

Alternatively, you can create a digital account to manage your details and options online (including how your unclaimed retail prizes are paid).

Register for an account, and if your residential address is in Victoria, Tasmania or Northern Territory you can link your existing Members Club card (previously known as Tatts Card) on the first page of the form.

 


  

   For entries purchased in-store

  
  • Prizes less than $1500 can be claimed at any Tatts retail outlet.
  • Prizes $1500 and over can be paid via cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) in person at our Head Office, or by post with a Prize Claim Form.
  • Division 1 prizes and Lucky Lotteries Jackpot or 1st Prize can be paid via cheque or EFT in person at our Head Office or by post with a Prize Claim Form. These prizes are subject to a two-week provisional period before your payment can be made.


  

   Claiming prizes in person


Depending upon the value of the prize, claims can be made in person at your nearest Tatts Lotteries retail outlet or at our Head Office:

To collect your prize in person you will need:

  • The original lottery or Instant Scratch-Its ticket. If you are claiming an Instant Scratch-Its prize, complete your name, address and signature on the back of the ticket.
  • Signature identification such as a Drivers Licence or Passport.
  • For registered lottery entries, the membership card to which the ticket is registered.

If claiming all or part of a prize from a winning lotto ticket which is registered to a membership card on someone else's behalf, you will also need a signed letter of authorisation and signature identification for the claimant and the registered player(s).

  

   Claiming prizes by post


To claim a lottery or Instant Scratch-Its prize by post, download and complete our Prize Claim Form or pick one up at your local Tatts retail outlet. If you are claiming an Instant Scratch-Its prize, complete your name, address and signature on the back of the ticket. Send the winning ticket(s) along with your completed Prize Claim Form via post to:

Remember to keep copies of both your Prize Claim Form and original ticket(s) for your own records. Your prize payment should be processed and paid within 10 working days of receipt of your Prize Claim Form by Tatts.

  

   Claiming prizes interstate


Even though our lottery games and Instant Scratch-Its can be purchased in multiple states within Australia, prizes can only be claimed within the State in which the entry was originally purchased. Instant Scratch-Its tickets conducted by Golden Casket can be claimed in Queensland, Tasmania or the Northern Territory.

   Claiming on someone's behalf


If claiming a prize from a winning lottery ticket which is registered to a players membership card on behalf of the registered customer, you will need a Prize Claim Form signed and completed by the registered card holder with the original ticket, signed letter of authorisation with the name of the person authorised to pick up the prize, stating the ticket number, registered card holders contact phone number and the prize amount that you are collecting.

The registered card holder should sign the authorisation and provide signature identification so the request can be verified. The person authorised to pick up the prize should bring identification for verification and audit purposes. This prize will be paid as per the Prize Claim form; Cheque or Direct Deposit.

  

   Lost or damaged tickets


If your lottery or Instant Scratch-Its ticket is lost or damaged you will need to complete a Lost or Damaged Ticket Search per ticket, which will assist us in locating your ticket in our lottery system. 

Even though our lottery games and Instant Scratch-Its can be purchased in multiple states within Australia, it is important to complete the form relevant to the State in which the entry was originally purchased.

Download and print the Lost or Damaged Ticket Search Form according to where the ticket was purchased:

  • For lottery and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in Queensland, and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in Tasmania and the Northern Territory download the form here.
  • For lottery and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in New South Wales download the form here.
  • For lottery and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in Victoria download the form here.
  • For lottery, SA Keno and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in South Australia download the form here.
  • For lottery and Instant Scratch-Its tickets purchased in the Australian Capital Territory download the form here.

Once completed, send the form via post to the address that is listed on the form. 

If your ticket is damaged please return the damaged ticket with the form, remembering to keep copies for your own records. 

If you are a member and you lose your lottery ticket registered to your membership card, you should call us on 131 868.

If you lose your ticket together with your membership card call us immediately so that we can place a 'Stop Payment' on your ticket which will prevent anyone else from claiming your prize provided that it has not yet been paid.

 

*Membership terms apply. If you’re lucky enough to win Division 1, you’ll still need to wait the normal prize payment period. Membership terms and conditions apply and are available in-store or online. Your online account must be verified before you can enable electronic prize payments.
