A Forest Lake dad was convinced he had fallen into a dream and the only way out of it was to profusely ‘pinch himself’ after he discovered his $2.8 million win in the recent Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Queenslander held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4441, drawn Saturday 10 February 2024 and took home a total prize of $2,857,142.86.

The winning man checked his ticket straight after the draw on Saturday night and was left shocked by the revelation he was a newly minted multi-millionaire.

“It feels so amazing – like a dream!” he exclaimed.

 “This is one of the best calls I’ve received in a long time.

“I discovered it straight after the draw and I had to pinch myself a couple of times to see if it was real. I thought maybe my eyes were deceiving me.

“I’ve told a couple of family members but will keep it private.

With $2.8 million about to land in his bank account, the Brisbane resident couldn’t wait to help his nearest and dearest.

“It will help my family, and I’ll be able to buy my mum a property,” he said.
