“I didn’t entertain the thought of winning!”: Wadalba woman shocked by wondrous $1.25 million Saturday Lotto win
A Wadalba woman has confessed she was aware a lotteries winner was on the loose in the area but didn’t check her ticket, believing it couldn’t be her that won $1.25 million in the recent Saturday Lotto draw.
The Central Coast woman held one of 16 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4337, drawn Saturday 11 February 2023. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1.25 million.
“I saw a post online that you guys were looking for a Saturday Lotto winner but thought, ‘oh, that will be nice for someone’,” she laughed when confirming her shock win with us.
“I didn’t even entertain the thought of winning! It couldn’t be me.
“But then it got the better of me and I checked my ticket. That was when I almost passed out I think.
“I can’t even win a chook raffle let alone $1.25 million!
“Oh my god, this is going to take a while to sink in.
“I want to cry, I want to laugh, I’m all over the shop at the moment.
“It hasn’t been an easy run for my family. I work hard every week, but this is going to allow me to set my family up for the future.
“We might buy our first home, we could even go on an overseas holiday!
“Far out! I still can’t believe I’m not dreaming.”
Her winning entry was purchased at Wadalba Newsagency, 2 Edward Stinson Avenue, Wadalba.
The Wadalba Newsagency team said they were over the moon to have sold a division one winning entry and wished their winner all the best for the future.
