“Not bad for a Monday!”: Hervey Bay man reeling from life-changing $1.7 million Saturday Gold Lotto win
A Hervey Bay man has let the tears flow freely after discovering he’d won $1.7 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queenslander held one of the three division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4317, drawn Saturday 3 December 2022. Each entry takes home $1,711,673.77.
“You have no idea what this means to me and how much good it’s going to do,” he shared when confirming his wonderful win with us.
“It still doesn’t feel real. I’ve been in shock for two days!
“You buy entries and hope you might win something but never really expect it.
“Then something like this happens, and your life changes overnight.
“Tell you what, it’s not bad for a Monday, is it?
“I’ll celebrate with my best mate and look to make some plans for the future.
“I can’t wait!”
His winning System 12 QuickPick was purchased at newsXpress Eli Waters, Shop 23, Eli Waters Shopping Centre, 2 Ibis Boulevard, Eli Waters.
newsXpress Eli Waters manager Monique Drew said the team had been celebrating since they discovered the news on Sunday morning.
