A Melbourne family were initially under the impression they were one number off winning the TattsLotto division one prize of $717,000 in the weekend’s draw, until they checked their ticket for a second time.

The victorious Victorians held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4305 on Saturday 22 October 2022. Each division one winning entry scored $717,780.44.

This morning, we reached out to the winning parents, who relayed the moment they checked their entry and discovered their thrilling win.

“It’s wonderful,” the winning woman cheered.

“I’ve put the ticket in a safe space because I’m so scared of losing it. We haven’t gotten over the shock yet!

“I went to manually check the winning numbers on Sunday morning and I completely missed number 21. I thought we were one number off winning division one!

“I went to the newsagency on Sunday morning to buy a newspaper, and while I was there, I asked for the winning numbers.

“I said to myself, ‘Oh, I’m sure we had number 21!’. I looked up The Lott website and I entered my ticket number, and it came up that we’ve won division one. I couldn’t believe it.

“The ticket is shared amongst our family, and our adult children are stoked.

“We’re not too sure what we’ll spend the money on as we’re still trying to process it all.

“We hope to come together and celebrate sometime soon!”

Their winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at 99 Spencer Street Lotto, L1-Cs-08B Collins Street Concourse, Southern Cross Station, 150 Spencer Street, Melbourne.
