Footscray mum to fly business class to France thanks to $2 million TattsLotto win

A Footscray mum is finally allowing herself to get excited about her multi-million-dollar TattsLotto win after an uncertain weekend wondering if the life-changing news could be true.

Confirming her win with us this morning, the overwhelmed woman explained she was still struggling to believe the exhilarating news.

“Is it true?! I’m breathless. I can’t think!” she laughed.

“Things like this don’t happen to people like me.

“I saw my TattsLotto entry won something on The Lott app yesterday. At first, I thought I’d won $2,000, but then I saw a few more zeros. I instantly thought it was some sort of scam or a glitch.

“This is insane! Both of my cats are looking at me like I’m crazy.

“I haven’t told anyone yet. I wasn’t sure if the news was really true.

“I’ll have my children around tonight and I’ll let them know!

“I’m also flying interstate to see some family soon, so I’ll gather everyone around to tell them.

“I’m going to help out my family with the prize. They mean the most to me!

“I also thought my retirement was further away, but now I can retire even sooner. Woo-hoo!

“I’ve been saving to go to France for more than five years. The pandemic has put a spanner in the works, and I’ve had to hold off on my travel plans.

“But, oh my goodness, I can fly business class to France now - just saying that makes it feel so surreal. I can’t believe it!

“I need to take a breath. It’s going to be hard to concentrate at work today.

“Thank you for the best phone call!”

Doncaster East shopper bags TattsLotto ticket worth $2 million

A Doncaster East shopper joined Melbourne’s weekend winning streak by pocketing a $2 million TattsLotto prize.

However, the winner wishes to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning entry was purchased at East Doncaster Lotto, 286 A Blackburn Road, Doncaster East.

East Doncaster Lotto owner Lisa Xu said discovering her outlet had sold a division one winning entry in the weekend’s TattsLotto Superdraw was a fantastic way to start the day.

“We’re very happy! Funnily enough, we sold a division one winning entry on Mother’s Day weekend in May, and now we sold another one on Father’s Day weekend,” she said.

“Perhaps we sold the division one winning entry to a Father?! That would be amazing news to discover on Father’s Day!

“Congratulations to the winner and we wish them all the best with their prize.”
