Hastings nomadic family to embark on Aussie adventure with $2.8 million TattsLotto win!

A Hastings woman is planning to pack up her life, buy a caravan and take her family on the ultimate Aussie adventure after scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

“I normally check my ticket on The Lott app first thing on a Sunday morning, and that’s exactly what I did yesterday,” she cried happily as she retold the story of how she discovered her win.

“When I saw that I had a few numbers, I thought, ‘oh my god!’, and then I noticed I had all of the winning numbers, and I could not believe it.

“I just kept thinking, ‘I am dreaming! No, this must be a dream!’.

“I cried a lot! There were so many tears. I was shaking then, and I am still shaking now.

“I had to go for a walk to try and calm down and to let the news sink in. I still need to absorb it! It’s crazy!

“Ahhh! I can’t believe I am a multi-millionaire and now I’m crying again. I’m so sorry!

“This is just so insane. It’s overwhelming. I need to sit down.

“I’ve dreamt about this moment so many times, but I never in a million years thought this would happen to me.

“I am still in shock now! It’s absolutely life-changing.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her multi-million-dollar prize, the emotional woman said it was a dream come true.

“I have been renting my whole life, so I want to buy a house — my dream house — on some land that I’ve been eyeing off for years and years!” she explained.

“I’d also love to buy a nice caravan and a car to tow it and travel around Australia with my family.

“That’s a big dream of mine! All I want to do is hit the road and travel!”

Her winning entry was purchased at Lucky Lotto & News - Hastings, Shop 2 Aldi Centre, 9 Queen Street, Hastings.

Lucky Lotto & News – Hastings owner Barry McKay said he was delighted to hear one of his customers had become a multi-millionaire after scoring division one.

“I feel so happy to have sold a life-changing prize to one of our customers,” he shared.

“Never in our wildest dreams did we think that we would sell a division one prize in TattsLotto’s $20 million Superdraw! We’d only recently celebrated our fifth birthday and so this was another great milestone for us.

“We will be celebrating this win with our amazing team and all of our customers once restrictions lift.

We’ve already been letting our customers know about the win on social media and everyone is so excited.

“All of our customers are such great people and are so happy to hear someone scored division one. It’s not only great for the winner, but also for our store and the local community. So many of our customers have shared that they’re just happy to hear a local has won and don’t mind that they’re not the winner.

“This is the first division one lottery win for our outlet; however, we sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket last year and many second and third division prizes.

“From the entire team, we would love to wish our winner all the very best with this life-changing prize and hope it makes a positive difference to their life.”

Mornington man screaming for joy after discovering $2.8 million TattsLotto win

If you heard a loud commotion in Mornington on Sunday morning, it might be because someone just found out they scored $2.8 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

“I logged into my online The Lott account on Sunday morning to have a look at my ticket, and that’s when I made the discovery,” the winning Victorian shared when speaking with an official from The Lott.

“It was a brilliant surprise!

“There was lots of screaming! I was with my family actually, and they were all so excited for me. We were all cheering and jumping up and down.

“Honestly, it felt really surreal. It was very difficult to get my head around.

“It’s still hard to believe now, even though I am talking to you about it.

“I had a few drinks to celebrate, but unfortunately, I can’t do too much because of lockdown, but it was still great.

“I just can’t get my head around the fact that I’m a multi-millionaire!

“It’s an awesome win for me and will change my life.

“Like most people, I’ll pay off the mortgage, so now I will be mortgage free!

“When we get back to normality, I’d like to go on a big overseas trip, as that’s definitely high on the agenda.

“I need to make sure I am wise about using the prize, so I still need time to think about the rest.”

His winning marked 50-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
