Two SA locals are celebrating scoring a division one win in Super 66 after two entries scored the major prize in just seven days.

Elusive Elizabeth woman claims Super prize
A young Elizabeth woman has declared her and her husband will have the best new year after scoring a division one prize of $177,615.85 in a recent Super 66 draw.

The thrilled winner held the only division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 4009, drawn Saturday 21 December 2019.

Despite being registered to an Easiplay Club Card, SA Lotteries officials had been unable to make contact with the winner as her contact details were not up to date and they had to wait for her to come forward to claim her prize.

After finalling making contact with us this morning, the thrilled wife explained the reason for the delayed discovery.

“Oh my god! It’s just unreal! We are so excited!” she exclaimed.

“We only ever check our tickets when we put on the next one so we had no idea we were winners until my husband went to put on a ticket for last Saturday’s draw.

“We play Saturday Lotto every week and last week when we put the ticket on, we got a free bonus Super 66 ticket too.

“We are so lucky! We could never have imagined it would win division one.

“It’s really amazing! Imagine if we had discovered the news before Christmas, it would have made a huge difference.

“It doesn’t matter though! It’s made a huge difference to our plans for the new year!”

When asked what her new year plans entailed, the thrilled winner confessed the prize would go a long way.

“We are a young family with a young baby and currently we have a really small house,” she explained.

“This win will go a long way to helping us build our dream home with more room for our family.

“It will also allow us to pay off a few bills and take a little holiday too.

“It’s a dream come true! It’s going to be an amazing new year for us and our family!”

The overjoyed winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her entry at Russell’s Newsagency, Shop 5, South Mall Elizabeth Shopping Centre.

Russell’s Newsagency manage Cassi Barr said she screamed out loud when she discovered her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“When I saw that we had sold a division one winning ticket I screamed loud enough that staff in another shop came down to see if I was ok!” she laughed.

“We have been under new ownership since July and this is the first division one winning entry we have sold so we are thrilled.

“We have been telling all of our customers about the win and they’ve been as shocked and excited as we are!

“What a great start to the new year for our winners. Congratulations to the couple! We hope they have a fantastic time with the winnings and spoil themselves and their family rotten!”

Second Super 66 divison one win celebrated in Para Vista
A Para Vista woman has woken up to the news she is a division one winner after scoring the top prize in Saturday’s Super 66 draw.

The thrilled player held the only division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 4011, drawn Saturday 28 December 2019 and takes home a division one prize of $17,823.40.

Sharing her joy with us this morning, the winner confessed the phone call had woken her from a sleep in.

“You’re joking?! Wow! I’m not dreaming am I?” she asked.

“I only just woke up so I’m not sure if this is real!

“Did you say $17,000? Wow!”

Once the news sunk in, the winner confessed she wasn’t sure how she would enjoy the windfall.

“I don’t know! I still can’t comprehend the news,” she said.

“It will be put to good use in the new year that’s for sure!”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 6 game QuickPick entry at Plaza Newsagency, Shop 22 & 23 Tea Tree Plaza, 976 North East Road, Modbury.

Plaza Newsagency owner Xin Ming Song said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another division one winning entry.

“What perfect timing for our winner, right before new year!” he exclaimed.

“We’ve sold a few division one winning entries in the past, but it’s been a little while so it’s great to have had a win to break the drought.

“We will be sharing the news with our customers and I’m sure they will be as excited as we are.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish her all the best with her prize!”
