A professional Melbourne woman is still in a state of disbelief after discovering she had won the division one prize of $10 million in Oz Lotto draw 1261, drawn 17 April 2018.

Despite Tatts officials calling to confirm the news this morning, the incredulous woman couldn’t grasp her new multi-millionaire status.

“Get lost! I’m shaking! Oh really? What! Oh my god! Really?” the disbelieving woman questioned.

“Oh my god, I just can’t believe this.

“I want to scream and I’m shaking. I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack, I just don’t know what to do.

“Are you sure this isn’t a scam from Nigeria? I’m so cynical. I’m feeling like this is a hoax.

“It’s so exciting. I don’t know – I just want to cry!”

Once the news had sunk in, the woman revealed her plans for her overnight $10 million Oz Lotto windfall.

“I’m absolutely going to retire! I still just can’t believe it!” she exclaimed.

“I certainly don’t play Oz Lotto so it wouldn’t change my life! I play it so I can! I’m definitely going to retire now.

“I’ve never planned what I would do if I won the lottery as I never really thought it would happen, but maybe it will be a holiday or a new home – all of those things!”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 36-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

“The funny thing is I deleted the ticket out of my online account this morning as I usually get a notification to say I’ve won, so I thought this ticket was a dud,” the winner explained.

“So I couldn’t check it to confirm, especially when you are shaking, which is why I couldn’t believe it!”

“I play regularly and always grab a QuickPick as I don’t have any special numbers – but these numbers are special to me now.”

It’s the second time this year a Victorian entry has taken home a $10 million Oz Lotto prize.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1261 on Tuesday 17 April 2018 were 43, 20, 7, 27, 36, 11 and 23. The supplementary numbers were 18 and 26.

There was only one division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1261 – the online entry from Victoria.

Last financial year, 18 Oz Lotto winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $182 million.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 341 so far this financial year, including 124 won by Tatts customers.
