A family from the Limestone Coast region has begun celebrating the dream-come-true news they’re now $15 million richer from this week’s Oz Lotto draw.
 
The family’s registered entry was the only division one winner across Australia in Oz Lotto draw 1269 drawn on Tuesday 12 June 2018.
 
While SA Lotteries were initially unable to reach the registered player, today the winning dad learnt of his multi-million dollar payday.
 
Speaking with an SA Lotteries spokesperson to confirm his win, the down-to-earth man explained this was more than just a win for him – it was a win for his whole extended family.

“Oh wow! Hallelujah! I’ve been waiting all my life for this,” the man exclaimed.

“This is a massive win for our family. It will mean we can all set our kids up for the future!”
 
When asked how he chose his marked numbers, the winner explained:
 
“Our Oz Lotto numbers are all family birthdays and significant dates.
 
“My life revolves around numbers. I forget names within five minutes, but can remember dates and phone numbers from way back.
 
“We’ve been playing the same numbers for 15 years. They’re even more special and memorable now!”
 
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his family’s 14-game marked entry from Kurralta Plaza Newsagency, Shop T5, Kurralta Plaza Shopping Centre, 153 Anzac Highway, Kurralta Park.
 
“I didn’t buy the ticket from my usual store – I bet they’ll be disappointed about that,” he said.
 
“We were in Adelaide for the weekend, and I just picked up a ticket while I was at the shops.
 
“I’ve bought tickets from a few different stores in the past – depending on where I am. But I always play the same numbers.”
 
Kurralta Plaza Newsagency owner Jue Wang said he was excited the outlet’s division one winner had been found.
 
“This is the first big prize for our store – and it sure is big! $15 million!” he exclaimed.
 
“We’re so excited to have helped turn one of our customers into a multi-millionaire!
 
“We’ve had a lot of people coming in checking their tickets hoping they were the winner too.”
 
The $15 million jackpot from Oz Lotto draw 1269 was the 21st division one prize and the second Oz Lotto jackpot to land in South Australia so far this calendar year.
 
In January, a Myrtle Bank woman won $10 million and said it paved the way for a better future for her family.
 
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1269 on Tuesday 12 June 2018 were 22, 2, 31, 38, 12, 7 and 45.  The supplementary numbers 11 and 29.
 
Last financial year, 18 Oz Lotto winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictionswon more than $182 million. 
 
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 179 so far this calendar year, including 21 won by SA Lotteries customers.
