A Melton father has revealed he thought he was dreaming when he discovered the numbers he had been playing for over 30 years had won an incredible $1.7 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian resident held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4401, drawn Saturday 23 September 2023 and pocketed a total prize of $1,720,277.26.

The winning entry was not registered to a player card, which meant we had no way of notifying the winner of his life-changing lottery loot and had to wait for him to check his ticket.

The regular player finally checked his ticket this morning and admitted he was left dumbfounded by the revelation.

“Oh my gosh. I’m still shaking. I feel like I’m living in a dream,” he said.

“Thank you so much.

“Mate, I’ve been playing the same numbers for 35 years!
“I have had them for so long, I’ve forgotten what they even mean!

“This is incredible. I’ll be able to pay off my daughter's house and invest the rest!

“This is the best day of my life.”

His winning 12-game marked entry was purchased at Melton Lotto & TSG, 293 High St, Melton.

Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai said he couldn’t believe his outlet had sold another division one winning entry in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

“It’s crazy – I’m stoked! I can’t believe we’ve sold yet another division one winning entry. It was only last May that we sold a division one winning entry in Set for Life,” he said.

“Our local community will be absolutely thrilled as well and I’m sure many customers will feel  inspired with hopes they’re the next division one winner to take home a million-dollar prize.

“Many of my customers call me ‘Mr Lucky’ because of how many division one winning entries our outlet has sold.

“Remarkably, this is our 62nd division one winning entry in the stores 20 years of operating. Eight of those 62 division one winning entries were sold in the last three years!”
