Almost two days after the winning numbers were drawn, an Inala man today discovered he is now a million dollars richer from winning division one in this week’s Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The Inala entry was one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3771 on Wednesday 6 June 2018.Each entry scored the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As the entry wasn’t registered to a Winner’s Circle card, Golden Casket had no way to contact the winner.

This morning, the man checked his entry and discovered the life changing news himself.

“Yes! One million dollars! I like that,” he laughed when speaking with a Golden Casket official.

“It’s hard to describe my feelings. I don’t know. I think this is the happiest moment of my life!

“I just checked my ticket this morning. I never thought in my life I would win something like this!”

The regular player shared he would have to think carefully about how he would use his Gold Lotto windfall.

“I don’t know yet – maybe pay off the house, help my family and also give some to charity,” he said.

The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 24-game QuickPick entry from Biota Street News, 155 Biota Street, Inala.

Biota Street News owner Kerrie Hammett said she was thrilled her outlet had sold its first division one winning entry.

“It’s our first one! Hopefully many more to come,” she said.

“The joyous part is that we’ve helped someone become a millionaire. That’s really great.

“We wish our winner all the very best with their prize.”

The six winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3771 on Wednesday 6 June 2018 were 35, 21, 19, 8, 36 and 37, while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 15.

Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries – two from Queensland and one from New South Wales.
