Do you typically opt for a QuickPick or choose your own special numbers? This week, we've heard from winners who were thrilled to see their long-time favourite numbers drawn and deliver a lottery loot! Check out our highlights.

Special numbers lead to retirement

A Forrest Beach woman is looking forward to step into retirement after bagging a $400,000 Saturday Lotto win.

“Oh, this has been the most incredible couple of days!” she said.

“I’ve been playing these numbers for almost two decades, and I can’t believe they were finally drawn. My daughter and I have been in tears since we discovered the win yesterday.

“It’s going to make my transition to retirement incredibly easy, and it also means I can help my children more.”

Mortgage set to be paid in full

A Leanyer couple will be paying off their mortgage after securing a $411,000 Saturday Lotto win.

“I’ve been playing these same set of numbers for 40 years. They’re a bunch of birthdates,” the winning man said.

“Have we celebrated yet? On Sunday we did, big time! I called my mates in the morning, and we decided to go to the local club to celebrate.

“We’ll probably use the prize to pay off the house mortgage. It will be a huge help.”

Two lottery wins in same newsagency

They say lightning can’t strike twice but what about lottery lightning?

A Niddrie newsagency sold not one but two division one winning entries worth $400,000 each in the recent Saturday Lotto draw. One of the winners was an Essendon man who shared his win was especially uplifting after being unwell.

“I haven’t been well, and I can’t speak too well anymore because of it. This is wonderful. Such a great boost,” the winning man told us.

“I’m a pensioner and this will help me so much.

“As soon as I found out about the win, I went to The Lott head office to claim the prize.”

New set of wheels for Kelso woman

A Kelso woman will be driving around in style thanks to her $10,000 Instant Scratch-its win earlier this week.

“You see, when I went to buy the Instant Scratch-It, the place I went to had shut its doors for lunch, so I ended up going to a different spot,” the winner told us.

“At the time it was annoying but now I couldn’t feel luckier.

“I’ll be able to put the money towards a new second-hand car for myself. My current one’s not doing too well, and I need it for work, so this is a huge help.”

Next time you play will you pick your own special numbers? Good luck everyone!
