A Sanctuary Point dad has struggled to comprehend the news he’s woken up this morning a millionaire after scoring division one in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

The New South Wales retiree held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3901, on Wednesday 4 September 2019. Each entry takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

This morning, we contacted the winner, who was completely unaware of the life-changing news.

“You’re kidding me?” he questioned.

“You’re really kidding me, aren’t you?” he repeated.

“You’ve got to be bloody joking! I can’t believe this.

“I’ve been playing for a long time but I certainly never expected to receive this phone call today!

“You’ve really caught me off guard!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar prize, the City of Shoalhaven winner revealed he’d enjoy every moment of it.

“I’m going to love sharing this with my friends and family,” he said.

“I’m retired and I haven’t been retired for very long so this will make me relax more, that’s for sure.

“I can’t wait to spend more time travelling overseas to wherever I want! Maybe South America and Canada, maybe even first class!”

The happy player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his division one winning entry at Sanctuary Point Newsagency, Shop 4, 206 Kerry Street, Sanctuary Point.

Sanctuary Point Newsagency owner Kim Battagliolo said the outlet was on a winning streak.

“We’re certainly a lucky store!” she exclaimed.

“Just a couple of weeks ago we sold a Saturday Lotto division one winning entry and now this!

“We couldn’t be happier. It’s fantastic news for the local community.

“We’re very excited for this man and we have no doubt he will enjoy his prize!”
