Four lottery players boosted their Easter celebrations with a division one win in this weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw – unwrapping an incredible $1.3 million windfall. 

One of these sweet entries was held by a Campbeltown man who purchased his ticket into the weekend’s draw as a birthday gift to himself. 

“I only play now and again. But, it was my birthday the other weekend, so I bought a ticket because I was feeling a bit lucky,” he revealed. 

“I was in my man cave – my office – doing some work, and I needed a quick break, so I just scanned the ticket online. The first thing I thought was, ‘What the f***! I scanned it three times.” 

Public holiday floored by lottery loots! 

A group of four lottery players ended their  long weekend with a surprise million-dollar win after each scoring division one in Monday & Wednesday Lotto.  

One winner was a Kempsey woman who was embarking on an Easter holiday and was left shocked by the revelation she’s a newly minted millionaire. 

“This is incredible! We’ve been on an Easter trip, and we’re slowly making our way home now, but we might leave the car on the side of the road and hire a plane,” she laughed. 

“Wow! Times have been tough, and this is just going to change our lives. I’m going to get a dog, maybe buy a new car, and help my family. Honestly, the possibilities are endless.” 

Feel good, Good Friday for Boonah man! 

A Boonah man drinking a can of coke while scratching an Instant Scratch-Its ticket on Good Friday afternoon had received the surprise of his life, making him switch to a celebratory beer. 

The Scenic Rim man had scratched a top prize of $100,000 on a $5 Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket. 

“It was the afternoon of Good Friday, and I’d sat down to drink a can of Coca-Cola and scratch the Instant Scratch-Its tickets. That’s when I discovered I’d won $100,000!” he explained. 

“I couldn’t believe it – I was flabbergasted. I’d switched from drinking coke to a celebratory beer! I’ve taken the day off today to celebrate. It changes your life, no doubt! It’s great!”
