Double delight sees $200 million Powerball prize shared

Powerball’s $200 million record-breaking prize was taken out by two winning entries on Thursday night — one held by a New South Wales player, and the other won in Queensland.

One of the winners was a couple from Singleton who discovered their life-changing news just moments after the draw!

“I just had a look a moment ago and I instantly went ‘Oh my god’,” the winning woman told us.

“I mean you joke about winning but never expect it to happen to you.

“Well, I absolutely won’t be working anymore! I mean, honestly, do I really need to?! There’s always a lot of hypothetical questions of what I would want to do but now I’m just lost for words. I have no idea.”

The second division one division one entry was held by a Hawthorne woman who decided to skip her gym class after her winning revelation!

“It was an early wakeup call when I decided to pull my ticket out at 6am to check it while getting ready for the gym. I scanned the ticket on The Lott app and all the winning numbers immediately lit up and I saw that I’d won $100 million on my phone," she said.

“I immediately hopped into my car, held onto the ticket for dear life and called my dad for some advice.

“I really want to change the course of direction with my career, and it was the reason why I bought the ticket in the first place. At the end of the day, money will not change who I am. I’ve always wanted to start up my own business and I don’t know where to begin but now it will be within reach."

Congratulations to all our other winners in divisions two to nine. Make sure you check your ticket!

Zillmere winner plans to share with nearest and dearest

While Powerball held the spotlight, plenty of other players enjoyed a win across their favourite games this week. A generous Zillmere woman discovered an unexpected $250,000 win on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket and decided to pay her prize forward.

“It’s full on! I’m still struggling to wrap my head around it!” she exclaimed.

“I rang my sister and said, ‘Is this real?’ “I actually bought her a car with part of the winnings. I’m so happy for her! Now she can drop her kids to school.

“For myself, I’ve already been on a nice holiday! It was like heaven. Then the rest, I’ll put in the bank.”

Geelong woman speechless after Set for Life win

As the buzz surrounding the $200 million Powerball draw will start to settle, a Melbourne woman will be enjoying her own winning moment for the next 20 years thanks to her division one Set for Life win.

The long-time player initially missed our winning calls, but our voicemail finally prompted her to check her ticket.

“I listened back to the voicemail and I started to frantically look for the ticket to see if it was true,” she said.

“I couldn’t believe it was me that had won. You always hope you’ll win division one but never expect for it to happen. I kept saying, ‘It’s me?’ I’ve won?!’

“I’ve been playing lotteries for three decades – different games. The most I’ve ever won is $2,000 in Oz Lotto about 20 years ago. This is certainly next level.”

Shocking discovery for Lucky Lotteries winner

A Kingslake woman had her eyes glued to her phone in disbelief earlier this week when she bagged a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win.

“I’m very, very happy! I’ve never won anything like this before! It’s amazing,” the winning woman told us.

“I couldn’t believe it. I was staring at my phone for a very long time!

“It’ll be a real help. I can put it towards the mortgage. It’s great. Thank you so much. It’s still sinking in!”

We can’t wait to hear more winning stories soon! Best of luck everyone.
