Check out who made our winning list this week:
Austinmer trio’s tearful triumph with $1 million win
It was a triple treat for three Austinmer friends who shared a $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto division one prize.
The leader of the private syndicate revealed a social media post prompted her to discover the win and left every syndicate member in tears.
“I saw on social media that there was a mystery winner who had purchased their ticket from Austinmer Newsagency and Post Office, and they were encouraging players to check their tickets,” she said.
“I decided to check my tickets last night and that’s when the $1 million win appeared. I immediately burst into tears.
“I rang the two other syndicate members and they’re in shock. It’s absolutely life-changing.”
10 Edwardstown shoppers share Lotto loot
More Monday & Wednesday Lotto excitement was on the way for 10 stoked Aussies from Edwardstown.
The South Australian syndicate, called ‘Rags to Riches’, took out a $1 million prize in Wednesday night’s draw, with each member pocketing a share worth $100,932.19!
We can just imagine each of these happy players will be enjoying a very merry Christmas.
Entries in the winning syndicate were sold at Blooms Castle Plaza, Shop 4-7 Castle Plaza, 992 South Road, Edwardstown. Two of the syndicate members are yet to discover their share of the division one win. Be sure to check those tickets lying around!
Girraween man becomes a millionaire while at work
While we might have a few more weeks before the festive holidays really kick in, that doesn’t mean our workdays have to be all bad. For one Darwin man, his Tuesday morning went from business to bliss.
“Wow! Won’t you look at that!” he laughed.
“I’m at work, and when you called, I was sitting next to my boss. I thought maybe it was a scam call, so I had it on speaker. I quickly turned it off speaker and now here we are!
“It might be hard to concentrate today.”
Goulburn man ready to embark on life’s next chapter
A Goulburn man is also celebrating becoming a newly minted millionaire, sharing that his Monday & Wednesday Lotto win was a long time in the making.
“This phone call has cemented it! I wanted to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!” he exclaimed.
“I’ve been up for a few hours now. I checked this ticket around 4.30am this morning. When I saw it, I had to rub my eyes a few times.
“I’ve been playing for decades and using these numbers for about 10 years.
“This means a whole new chapter for me. This will be the springboard to something new for the rest of my life. It’s beautiful. It’s freedom.”
There are still plenty of chances for you to close out 2023 as a lottery winner. We’ve got our eyes on Oz Lotto draw 1555 which has a huge $40 million up for grabs this Tuesday 5 December. Perhaps you’ll be celebrating Christmas early with some jackpot joy. Good luck!
