Canberra dad answers $60 million Powerball call on first ring
Last night’s Powerball draw was one to remember after Canberra dad took out the entire $60 million dollar jackpot prize, becoming the second biggest lottery winner so far in 2022.
“I’m laughing. I’m lost for words. I’m pacing around,” he said.
“I can’t believe it.
“I’ve been dreaming of this day forever.,
“It’s been a tough year. This is life-changing.”
Déjà vu for Nerang woman
This week, a Gold Coast woman won a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st prize, but she’s no stranger to Lucky Lotteries wins.
“Lucky Lotteries is the only lottery game I like to play. In 2016, I won the second prize of $10,000, and I thought that was amazing!” she said.
“One hundred thousand is a lot more zeros than what I won six years ago – wow!
“You have no idea. This will totally change everything for me and my family.”
The woman plans to save her latest lottery loot for a future nest egg!
Celebrations ahead for Beverly Hills couple
A couple who decided to treat themselves to some Instant Scratch-Its were shocked to discover they had scratched a $50,000 top prize.
“We took our Instant Scratch-Its tickets home to scratch in the sunroom together. I scratched the top prize-winning one and I couldn’t believe my eyes,” the winning man said.
“The funniest part of the whole thing is that my wife won a small prize on her ticket too!
“We are older, and are each celebrating a milestone birthday soon, so we will have a party! We also have some home improvements we’d like to make.”
The fortunate couple are eager to share their winning news with their family!
Superdraw Saturday syndicate success
Last Saturday’s Superdraw saw seven entries share in the $20 million prize pool, taking home over $2.85 million each. One of these winning entries was shared by a group of eight Bacchus Marsh players.
The owner of Bacchus Marsh Newsagency, Pete Drever, had a fantastic start to his day upon discovering his store’s division one winning syndicate.
“It was incredible to discover a store syndicate that’s been running for over a decade won a division one prize!” he exclaimed.
“We know all the share owners and they’re all locals!
“The win could not have come at a better time. People are struggling with the cost of living now and this win will help a lot of families. It’s also great news for the township in general.”
Homeownership for Tassie man
A Kingston man, who is currently on a winning streak, has home ownership on the cards after a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot win.
“I won $4,000 in Powerball last week, and I thought that was awesome. This is even better,” he said.
“That’s a house deposit, for sure! I’ve wanted to buy my very own home for such a long time.
“I can do it now – sweet!”
We can’t wait to hear from some new winners next week. Have a winning week!
