Powerball has soared to a massive $80 million for next Thursday’s draw (draw 1317 on 12 August 2021) - the equal biggest Australian lottery jackpot offered so far this year.

The mammoth jackpot comes after no players held the winning numbers and all-important Powerball number needed to score division one in tonight’s draw, sending the jackpot to climb higher for next week.

While there was no division one winner in the $60 million Powerball draw (draw 1316), there were seven happy players who took home a division two prize and shared in a total of $911,597.40 receiving over $130,228.20 each.

There were also 1,852,570 wins worth more than $32.9 million in divisions two to nine.

The winning numbers in tonight’s Powerball draw 1316 on Thursday 5 August 2021 were 16, 25, 12, 7, 11, 10, 21. The all-important Powerball number was 18.

The last time Powerball soared to these heights was in April when a Campbelltown retiree and a Smithfield man shared in the $80 million Powerball prize, receiving $40 million each.

If one player takes home the entire $80 million prize next week, they will not only be the biggest Australian lottery winner so far this year, but they will also hold the title of the third biggest lottery winner in Australian history.
