The end of the year is only a few days away but Powerball is keeping the excitement going right to the end. The jackpot has climbed to a climactic $100 million, giving you the chance to finish 2022 as a multi-millionaire!

The $100 million Powerball jackpot (draw 1389) takes place on Thursday 29 December and is the third largest jackpot offered by any Australian lottery game this year.

With this being the last Powerball draw of 2022, we’re sure plenty of players will be keen for the chance to end the year with a bang! We expect up to one-in-two Aussie adults to have an entry into the draw.

So far in 2022, there have been 19 Powerball division one wins collectively taking out more than $664 million in prize money. We haven’t seen this many division one wins in a single year since 2016, so I guess you could say it’s been a winning year!

From one winner who wanted to spoil his grandson with a dog for Christmas, to another who couldn’t stop shaking when they checked their ticket, we have had some cracking winning reactions this year and we’re hoping to end the year strong with Thursday night’s jackpot.

You can check out what all our Powerball multi-millionaires had planned for their wins here.

Dreaming of playing by your own rules? Well just imagine how the end of your year could change with this incredible prize. If one person scores the $100 million jackpot, they’ll be the nation’s second biggest lottery winner ever! Could it be you?

Ahead of Thursday night, make sure you’re ready for this showstopping $100 million draw!

1. Grab an entry

With this time of year being super busy it’s best to get in early for a chance to end the year with a bang! You can purchase an entry online, via the Lott app, or instore at one of our friendly retailers before the draw closes, Thursday 29 December at 7:30pm AEST.

2. Know your entry types

While every entry has a chance at winning the division one prize, we have seen some trends emerge over the year. Almost three-quarters of the 2022 Powerball division one winning entries have been QuickPicks (14 of the 19) – where the lottery terminal randomly chooses the numbers for you.

Additionally, 6 of the 19 winning entries have been PowerHit entries, an entry unique to Powerball that guarantees the all-important Powerball number you need to win division one.  Click here to find out more about the different entry types you could choose to play!

3. Register your entry

We recommend registering your entry to an online account or Players card. This means that if you win the big one, we can reach out to you with that call of a lifetime! It also means any prizes you win are registered directly to you and kept secure.

Even though it’s holidays for some, our team is still on standby waiting to call any winners! Could you be next? Good luck everyone.
