With international borders reopening, it’s no surprise most of us are dreaming about a holiday. And with Powerball offering $80 million on Thursday night, imagine what type of adventure you could have if you won the multi-million-dollar prize.

Ahead of this massive $80 million draw, we surveyed Aussie lottery players to find out what destination they would escape to first if they won a major lottery prize.

Not surprisingly, Europe topped the list with 36% of players looking to experience a European summer. The United Kingdom, Italy and France were among the most popular spots.

However, coming in a close second, 30% of respondents are keen to explore something closer to home. Most of this group wanted to holiday within Australia, but destinations only a small flight away like Fiji and New Zealand were also favoured.

When it came to the type of holiday experience our players are seeking, relaxation was the primary focus. We can only imagine after the excitement of winning $80 million, some down time would be needed.

What’s your dream destination?

If you win a division one Powerball prize this week you could be jet setting off on the adventure of a lifetime.

This $80 million draw is the second biggest Australian lottery jackpot offered so far this year, and the second time in 2022 Powerball has had a prize of this size up for grabs.

So far in 2022, there have been six Powerball division one winning entries and we’ll be eagerly awaiting to see if Thursday night reveal our seventh!

Don’t forget to grab your entries instore, online or via the app!

Powerball’s $80 million draw 1357 closes at 7:30pm AEST, Thursday 19 May.
