Two entries have shared tonight's $100 million Powerball jackpot – an elusive Victorian player and a 10-member syndicate from Sydney.

Each entry pocketed a $50 million division one prize in Powerball draw 1420, drawn Thursday 3 August 2023.

The winning Victorian entry was purchased online, but we were unable to contact the ticketholder this evening so they may be completely oblivious to their multi-millionaire status.

Shares into the winning 10-member New South Wales syndicate were sold at Rosebery North Newsagency, 68 Dalmeny Avenue, Rosebery.

In addition to the division one winning entry, there were a total of 3,716,433 prizes worth more than $71.9 million won in divisions two to nine in tonight’s draw.  Among those were 49 division two wins that each took home a prize worth $40,880.90.

10 Rosebery players share second $50 million Powerball prize

Everything’s coming up roses for ten Rosebery players who each took home a slice of tonight’s Powerball jackpot.

The Sydneysiders were part of a 10-share store syndicate, called Super Lucky, that held the second division one winning entry in tonight’s Powerball draw 1420.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s marked PowerHit entry also won division two 19 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total win to $50,776,737.10.

Each member of the syndicate takes home a total prize of $5,077,673.41.

One Rosebery man was busy watching the football when we rang him this evening with his multi-million-dollar news.

“Holy s***! Holy s***!” he cheered.

“Are you serious? I’ve won $5 million?

“I’m in shock. You’ve changed my life.

“I’m watching football as we speak, and I had no idea who was calling.

“I can’t wait to call my mum and tell her the news – she won’t believe me.

“I’m going to buy a house and look after my brother and sister. They’re my priority.”

Another member of the winning group admitted he was “dumbfounded” by his Powerball bounty.

“This is unbelievable,” the Sydneysider exclaimed.

“It’s unbelievable!

“My wife is crying.

“I don’t have a mortgage anymore and my retirement will be much easier.”
