Aussies will have the chance to snare the biggest lottery prize the nation has ever seen next week, with Powerball offering a $160 million jackpot for next Thursday’s draw (Powerball draw 1380 on Thursday 27 October 2022).

It comes as no one held a division one winning entry in tonight’s $100 million Powerball draw.

While no one took home the coveted jackpot prize, there were a total of 4,139,050 prizes worth more than $75 million won in divisions two to nine in tonight’s Powerball draw. Among those winners were 15 division two winners who each took home a $139,057.90 prize.

While Australian lotteries have been conducted for more than a century, there have only been nine Australian lottery draws that have offered a prize worth $100 million or higher – eight of these have been offered by Powerball.

Winning $160 million would immediately change your life and those of your nearest and dearest, but it would also be amazing to claim the title of biggest Australian lottery winner in history.

As this is the largest Australian jackpot ever offered, we’re expecting it to be busy in-store and online in the lead-up to this monumental draw.

Powerball has already crowned more winners in 2022 than in each of the past three years, with 15 Powerball division one wins to date collectively taking home more than $454 million.

Whether or not we see the arrival of 2022’s sixteenth Powerball division one winner next week remains to be seen.

To ensure you’re in with a chance to win the $160 million jackpot, be sure to grab an entry in-store, online at thelott.com or via the app or in-store before 7.30pm AEST on Thursday 27 October 2022.

We also encourage players to register their entry to a player card or online account. If you win the jackpot, you’ll want to know immediately. By registering your entry, we’ll be able to reach out to you straight after the draw to confirm the life-changing news.
