2022 promises to be the year of giving back to Australian communities
If you thought 2021 was big, wait until you see what we have in store for our community partners in 2022.
Over 15 charities will again receive donations from The Lott to support their important work, including the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, Children’s Hospital Foundation Queensland, Starlight Children’s Foundation, and many more.
Did you know Australia’s lotteries have been giving back to the community for over 120 years? It’s an impressive legacy that’s taken iconic landmarks, new hospitals, and important health research from a dream to a reality, with an impact that far outdoes even our biggest jackpots.
And it’s all thanks to you. By playing your favourite lottery games, you’re making these contributions to the Australian community possible. Even if that division one prize alludes you, you’re playing a part in something greater— making Australia a better, healthier, safer place for all.
Keep your eyes peeled as this year our funding will go towards some of the following causes:
- Educating children on their personal online and physical safety.
- Health research initiatives focused on pregnant mothers and their babies, paediatric brain cancer outcomes, and continuing support of vaccine research.
- Treatment and care for people and their families suffering from cancer.
- Health and education programs that empower young Indigenous girls and women to finish school and continue onto tertiary education.
We are also very close to bringing one of our oldest partnerships to life. Hint – we helped fund the construction of this iconic landmark. More to come on this!
It’s going to be a big year, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
In 2022, there’s going to be A Lott More to Play For.
