From cultural landmarks and world-class research, to wildlife conservation and vital health services, you’ve helped important causes in 2023 just by playing at The Lott.

Let's take a moment to reflect on the positive impacts you helped make possible in 2023.

  • February marked our eighth year helping Darwin's largest market, Mindil Beach Sunset Market, with running costs, which ensures more money goes back to the stallholders.
  • March saw us celebrate World Wildlife Day with a donation of $100,000 to WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation. The work WIRES do isn’t just important for caring for sick and injured animals, it’s vital for the continued preservation of our unique native species.
  • We proudly donated $100,000 of Tatts NT unclaimed prize money to the Starlight Children’s Foundation Healthier Futures Initiative. Captain Starlight’s presence at these health clinics eliminates the fear and uncertainty preventing kids in remote communities from participating in healthcare.
  • We revved our engines for the 24th year in a row, as The Lott by Tatts NT continued its naming rights for the Tatts Finke Desert Race in April.
  • Local lottery legends Bishops News captivated our hearts as they marked 100 years of winning moments. Owner Jack Bishop and his son Murray are the third and fourth generations in their family to manage the store, which has become renowned in the region as a place where anyone can feel welcome and leave with a winning smile.
  • Families who have experienced the loss of an unborn baby or fertility problems are being given new hope of becoming parents thanks to cutting-edge research being funded by our $500,000 donation. The donation from The Lott by Golden Casket to Mater Foundation will fund two separate studies at Mater Research dedicated to improving fertility outcomes and neonatal care.
  • We reunited with an old friend in the Sydney Opera House, 50 years on, to help celebrate the international cultural icon, whose construction The Lott by NSW Lotteries largely helped fund.

  • The Stars Foundation were thrilled to receive a $100,000 donation to assist with achieving their goal of inspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women, in reaching their potential.
  • For the third year running, we were delighted to donate $50,000 to Variety SA to help them continue their mission to support South Australian kids and provide them with the opportunity to have a better life within their community.
  • From the old to the new, our first-ever donation to Orange Sky Australia allows the team to offer even more communities in the Northern Territory free access to clean clothes, safe hot showers, and genuine non-judgemental conversations. This $90,000 donation was thanks to The Lott by Tatts NT.
  • Since 2019, The Lott by SA Lotteries has supported Childhood Cancer Association to help them continue their hands-on support for children with cancer and their families. We’re proud to partner with Variety SA for the fourth year in a row with a $50,000 donation, taking our total contribution to $250,000.
  • My Room Children’s Cancer Charity raised more than $3 million for sick kids in Victoria. The Lott is proud to continue support of My Room for the fifth year in a row, taking total donations to half a million dollars with this year's $100,000 donation, thanks to The Lott by Tatts.
  • This year’s Day For Daniel broke participation records and with thanks to The Lott by Golden Casket, we were able to make a $300,000 donation from Golden Casket unclaimed prize money to help keep more Australian kids safe through the Daniel Morcombe Foundation
  • Our act of kindness came along in November as we celebrated World Kindness Day with a $50,000 donation to the Kindness Factory.
  • November came and went, though there was still time to support the Children’s Hospital Foundation in helping sick kids and ground-breaking paediatric brain cancer research through state lottery taxes and unclaimed prize money.
  • December will see The Lott by Golden Casket City Hall Lights illuminating Christmas spirit in Brisbane once again. Not to mention, we’re able to help grant 38 more wishes to brighten the lives of sick kids as part of the Starlight Wishgranting program, with a $250,000 donation.

Your engagement with The Lott has been instrumental in these diverse and meaningful contributions throughout 2023, reflecting a year of significant positive impact across various sectors in our community. We can’t wait to do it all again in 2024!
