A Tennant Creek couple who discovered they won the First Prize in last night’s Set for Life draw, are already busy writing their bucket list of how they’ll enjoy their life-changing prize.

The Northern Territory players scored the First Prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years in Set for Life draw 1637, drawn Wednesday 29 January 2020.

We called the winners this morning to break the news, who had no idea they had won the First Prize.

“Fair dinkum!” the winning man chuckled.

“I am completely stunned!

“Things like this don’t happen to people like us.

“I am very surprised! Holy!

“This just doesn’t feel real.

“There’s not that much to do in Tennant Creek but we will definitely go out for dinner and some drinks tonight to celebrate. This is amazing!”

When asked how they planned to enjoy their ongoing prize, the pair admitted they already had a few ideas, which included buying a holiday home somewhere overseas.

“My wife’s already writing a list of what we can do with our prize,” he laughed.

“I am definitely going to retire from work. That’s the first thing I want to do.

“We want to go on a few overseas holidays as well!

“We would love to buy a holiday home somewhere overseas too. I am not sure where yet, but it’s something I have always dreamt of doing.

“Then there are some things we need to do around the home too.”

The winning entry of 2-SET entry was purchased at Enterprise Electrics, 40 Paterson Street, Tennant Creek.

Enterprise Electrics manager Helen Ruger said the outlet was thrilled to have made one of their customers Set for Life.

“We are over the moon!” she said.

“It is such great news for the community and for our winners.

“We haven’t sold a major prize for a while, so it’s very exciting.

“We hope this is the start of a winning streak and we make more of our customers happy winners!

“Congratulations to our winners, we wish you all the best with your prize.”
