A Docklands man is ready to embark on a new life for himself after the shocking discovery he won a $4.8 million Set for Life division one prize on the weekend.

The Melburnian in his 50s held the only division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2095, drawn Saturday 1 May 2021. He takes home the division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.

The man was oblivious to his win until we delivered the life-changing news.

“Wow! Wow! Wow!” he exclaimed when his win was confirmed.

“You’ve got my heart racing now! I was having a chilled day doing nothing, and now this!

“Holy crap!

“It’s going to take a while for that to sink in.

“I’ve been playing Set for Life for a while now, but I’ve never really thought in any great detail what I would do if I actually won.

“I’ll carry on for the moment until I figure out what to do with my life! This changes everything.

“I’ll still turn up to work this week. I might retire early – this certainly makes it an easy choice when I do it.

“Wow!”

The man’s winning 25-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

This marks the 77th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the seventh Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
